Save San Onofre Coalition v. Wolff, Civ. No. 08-1470 (S.D. Cal.)

Case Summary:

We represent a coalition of 12 environmental advocacy groups challenging the Fish and Wildlife Service's Biological Opinion associated with a Toll Road project planned for southern California which would run through some of the last remaining habitat of the critically imperiled Pacific Pocket Mouse, among other species. The case is presently stayed because the California Coastal Commission has blocked progress on the toll road due to environmental concerns, and the Department of Commerce recently upheld that determination.

Plaintiffs: Save San Onofre Coalition, California Coastal Protection Network, California State Parks Foundation, Defenders of Wildlife, Endangered Habitats League, Laguna Greenbelt, Inc., National Audubon Soceity, Inc., National Resources Defense Council, Inc., Orange County Coastkeeper, Sea and Sage Audubon, The Sierra Club, and Surfrider Foundation

Court: United States District Court for the Southern District of California
