Environmental Defense Fund v. Babbitt, Civ. No. 93-1801 (D.C.Cir.)
Case Summary:
On behalf of the Environmental Defense Fund, we filed suit in the United States Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit, seeking to compel the issuance by the Interior Department of long-overdue rules for the assessment of damages to wildlife and other natural resources caused by toxic waste spills. We settled the lawsuit, with the Interior Department agreeing to a deadline for issuance of the regulations.
