Center for Native Ecosystems v. Salazar, Civ. No. 09-1463 (D. Colo.)

Case Summary:

On behalf of Defenders of Wildlife, the Center for Native Ecosystems, and other conservation organizations we challenged the Bush Administration's decision to delist the threatened Prebles Meadow Jumping Mouse in the Wyoming portions of its range. The decision is based on a controversial policy change that we are also challenging, under which species, subspecies, and distinct population segments may be protected under the Endangered Species Act in only a portion of their presently occupied range.

Plaintiffs: Center for Native Ecosystems, Biodiversity Conservation Alliance, Center for Biological Diversity, Defenders of Wildlife, and Natural Resources Defense Council.
