Case Summary:

We represented the Center for Biological Diversity in a challenge under the Freedom of Information Act to the Marine Corps' decision to withhold a final Biological Assessment (BA) and other documents regarding the adverse environmental effects of the Marine Corps' military activities on endangered and threatened species located at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton in California. The district court ruled that the BA, and related documents, must be released.
