Case Summary:
We represented the Center for Biological Diversity and others in a lawsuit challenging the National Marine Fisheries Service’s refusal to designate critical habitat for Right whales in the North Pacific Ocean. The United States District Court for the Northern District of California agreed that NMFS had violated the Endangered Species Act and its own Recovery Plan for the Right Whale by failing to designate critical habitat.
