Biodiversity Legal Foundation v. Babbitt, Civ. No. 96-641 (D.D.C.)

Case Summary:

On behalf of the Biodiversity Legal Foundation and other groups, we challenged the Fish and Wildlife Service's failure to provide public notice and comment before eliminating thousands of species as "candidates" for listing. We settled the case, with the FWS agreeing to subject the decision to public review. 

Plaintiffs: Biodiversity Legal Foundation, Restore: The North Woods, Southwest Center  for Biological Diversity, Superior Wilderness Action Network, Predator Project, Alabama Wilderness Alliance, and individuals.
