Case Summary:

On behalf of Alliance for the Wild Rockies, we filed a lawsuit in the United States District Court for the District of Columbia, challenging the Fish and Wildlife Service's refusal to release the identities of public commenters on the Service's proposal to reintroduce grizzly bears into the Bitterroot ecosystem in Idaho. The Court granted our motion for summary judgment, ruling that the public has a right to know the identities of public commenters.
